Polycarbonate

Machine Grade Polycarbonate is a transparent amorphous thermoplastic with excellent dimensional stability and good strength and stiffness over a wide range of temperatures. Polycarbonate offers very high impact strength, high modulus of elasticity and a 270ºF (132ºC) heat deflection temperature at 264 psi. These properties, in addition to good electrical characteristics, make Machine Grade Polycarbonate shapes an excellent choice for electrical applications. Its strength, impact resistance and transparency also make it an ideal material for certain transparent structural applications such as sight glasses and windows.

Trident's compression molded sheet saves time and money by reducing fabrication steps required with extruded products. Offering the lowest internal stress found in the industry, compression molded sheet may eliminate the need to machine equal amounts per side to prevent bowing or perform pre or post annealing to reduce stress.

Trident's extruded rod is available in FDA compliant Natural (clear) and non-FDA compliant Black. Our extruded rod is oil annealed to achieve extremely low stress levels and consistent quality throughout the length.

Centerless ground and Hexagonal rod available on request.

Thin wall extruded tube (.062"-.250") is available in FDA compliant clear.
